Journeys are in-depth investigations generally lasting more than 6 sessions. Take a deeper dive into your favorite topic while making friends with other like-minded participants.
Do you know the difference between a code and a cipher? In simple terms, a code uses symbols to replace a word whereas a cipher replaces individual letters with letters or symbols. Now that you know, is Morse Code a code or a cipher? In this 2-hour adventure, we will go over the most common ciphers and explore how to crack them.

Zentangles are easy-to-learn, relaxing art patterns that are created through a collection of creating random, abstract patterns. Anyone can create their own zentrangles, regardless of their comfort level with art. In this course, you will learn the basic steps of zentangling and spontaneously create your own beautiful works of art, all while doodling and relaxing as you work! Once you know how to zentangle, you can create your own beautiful works of art on your own.

Do you love to read? Do you like to talk about characters, events and how books make you feel? If so, join us for a weekly book club! At our first club meeting, we will select an exciting book from a list of award-winning and other popular books. Each week, group members will read chapters of the book on their own and then come back together to talk about what we read and how we felt about the events that transpired along the way! In our book clubs, everyone gets a voice and everyone's opinion is important! We will work together to listen to others and share our own thinking. If you love reading and talking about the books you are reading, this club is for you!

ADVENTURE: Wednesdays beginning October 6

Current events discussion club - 4 weeks. Students will begin to identify and discuss topics of personal interest that are relevant and related to current social issues within our society. View from the global citizen perspective, this class be the foundational class for upcoming researches based classes for students to dive into an identified social issue and become an expert of their identified topic. These future classes will be 8 weeks long and students will have the opportunity to continue with their work.

Interested in exploring different forms of art? Become inspired to create like the abstract expressionists! Students will use lines, colors, and shapes to create various artworks inspired by abstract expressionists like Joan Miro, Wassily Kandinsky, and more.
Students will need watercolors, paper, Sharpie, scissors, Elmer's glue, and colored pencils, crayons, or markers. No experience is necessary.

ADVENTURE: Tuesdays - beginning September 28

On this Journey, you will earn to code using virtual robots on Mars. In your role as a space mission commander, you will learn to code with blocks to accomplish real-life challenges. Included in this class is a robotify membership that will let you continue to work, play, and learn even after the Journey is done. After taking our Learn to Code Virtual Robots Journey, you can put your skills to the test in a roboduel, a game-based learning tool that allows you to play head to head or team versus team. We will play Humans Versus Aliens, a multiplayer battle where you outcode your opponent to get to the flag before they do. This is a great way to strengthen your coding skills in an exciting global competition where you earn points and level up.

JOURNEY: Wednesdays starting October 4th, 7 pm EST/ 5 pm MST / 4 pm PST
This JOURNEY is for children 10+ to examine the problems that gifted and talented students face. How you can make the best use of educational opportunities, get along better with parents and friends, and better understand yourself? This 5 week course will introduce gifted students to the idea of what it means to be gifted, how to handle being bored at school, perfectionism, family struggles, and many other relevant and powerful social and emotional issues. Cost (10 sessions) is $149.
